A Note from Elisa

Hi there!

Thank you for your interest in Seabourn! I’ve gathered the most important details in one easy place, so you can see exactly what’s included, what you may want to add, and what to expect before, during, and after your voyage.

Seabourn sails intimate, all-suite ships, with ocean voyages around the world and expeditions to Antarctica, the Arctic, and other remote places. Take a look through the sections below, and whenever you’re ready, I’d love to help you choose between ocean and expedition, and find the ship, suite, and season that fit you best.

The Guide

The Experience

What’s included, where you’ll stay, and how you’ll spend your days.

What’s Included

Truly All-Inclusive

Seabourn is all-inclusive in the truest sense: fine wines and premium spirits, every restaurant, and Wi-Fi are part of your fare, and tipping is neither required nor expected. Once you’re aboard, you can simply enjoy the voyage.

Here’s what you can look forward to.

Imagine a glass of Champagne on arrival, caviar on the menu every day, and never once reaching for a signature.

Fine wines & premium spirits

Served throughout the ship, plus Champagne on arrival and an in-suite bar stocked to your taste.

Every restaurant

All dining venues are complimentary, including 24-hour in-suite dining, with caviar served daily.

Gratuities

Tipping is neither required nor expected.

Wi-Fi

Complimentary Surf Wi-Fi with unlimited minutes for one device per guest, through Starlink.

Enrichment & entertainment

Seabourn Conversations with notable guest speakers, plus music and performances.

Launderettes

Self-service washers, dryers, and ironing at no charge.

Included on Expeditions

Your Expedition Team

Academics, scientists, and naturalists who lead every outing and share their expertise onboard.

Zodiac cruising & landings

Naturalist-led Zodiac tours of 90 to 120 minutes, landings where there’s no dock, and guided walks.

A parka & day pack

In Antarctica, a custom Seabourn PolarShield two-in-one parka and a Helly Hansen waterproof day pack to keep.

Signature moments

The Polar Plunge and Caviar on the Ice, where conditions allow.

Inclusions are set by Seabourn and may vary by ship and voyage. Shore excursions, kayaking on expeditions, spa treatments, select premium wines and spirits, and the faster Stream Wi-Fi package are additional unless your suite or Seabourn Club level includes them.

Elisa’s Tip

When you compare luxury lines, look at what’s included as well as the fare. With Seabourn, wine and spirits, every restaurant, Wi-Fi, and gratuities are already part of your voyage, so the value is easy to see.

Two Ways to Travel

Ocean or Expedition

Seabourn offers two distinct ways to travel, each with the same all-inclusive approach and yacht-like atmosphere. Here’s a quick way to picture which one fits the trip you have in mind.

Seabourn retired its expedition submarine dives after the 2025 to 2026 Antarctic season. Zodiac outings, kayaking, and guided hikes continue on both expedition ships.

24-Hour In-Suite Dining

Order from a varied menu at any hour, or have dinner from The Restaurant served course by course in your suite.

From Market to Table

On select voyages, you can join a Seabourn chef shopping a local market, a delicious way to taste the region you’re sailing.

Elisa’s Pro Tip

Share any dietary preferences or allergies with me when we book, and I’ll pass them along so the kitchen is ready for you from day one.

Dining venues vary by ship. The Patio is not available aboard the expedition ships, where Earth and Ocean is served in The Colonnade several times per voyage.

Beyond the Ship

Excursions & Expedition Days

Whether you’re exploring a Mediterranean port or an Antarctic bay, Seabourn makes time ashore part of the luxury.

Shore Excursions

Guided tours in port, from highlights to small-group and private experiences, at an additional cost.

Zodiac Cruising & Landings

On expeditions, naturalist-led Zodiac tours, landings, and guided walks are included.

Kayaking

Optional on expeditions, at an additional cost: guided outings of about 90 minutes in double kayaks, with limited space.

Snorkeling & Cultural Visits

Included on tropical expeditions where available, with cultural tours arranged with local communities.

Image Masters

An optional small-group, in-the-field photography masterclass on select expeditions, with limited seats.

The Expedition Team

Seabourn’s Expedition Team brings together academics, scientists, and naturalists who drive the Zodiacs, lead the landings, and share what they know in talks and conversations onboard.

Thanking the Crew

Gratuities, Already Included

This is one of the simplest parts of planning a Seabourn voyage. In Seabourn’s own words, tipping is neither required nor expected, so there’s nothing to calculate for the crew who look after you.

Gratuities at a Glance

Onboard Purchases

Your shipboard account is in U.S. dollars, settled to a registered card. Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, American Express, and Discover are accepted, and Guest Services can exchange U.S. dollars, euros, and pounds.

Shore Excursions & Land Extensions

Tipping customs for guides and drivers ashore vary by destination, and I’ll share what’s customary as we plan.

Wondering how much cash to bring for incidentals and the odd extra thank-you? My guide to cash, cards, and currency in Europe has practical pointers.

Gratuity policies are set by Seabourn and may change. I’ll confirm what’s included for every part of your journey.

Before You Sail

Check-In & Preparation

Before You Sail

A few simple steps in your Seabourn account get you ready:

  • Complete online check-in and your guest details
  • Reserve shore excursions, and on expeditions any kayaking, as early as you can
  • Use the Seabourn Source app for dining reservations and more
  • Review your boarding documents, which list your voyage’s formal nights

For expeditions, Seabourn shares packing guides for polar and tropical voyages. I’ll send the one for your trip.

Helpful to Have Ready

A little preparation makes embarkation day effortless. Keep these details handy:

  • Passport details that match your reservation exactly
  • Flight and transfer information
  • Any dietary or accessibility needs
  • Emergency contact information

I’m glad to walk through check-in with you.

Passports & Paperwork

Travel Documents & Entry Requirements

It is each traveler’s responsibility to carry proper documentation. Here’s what to have in order before you go.

Proof of Citizenship
  • A valid passport, valid at least 6 months beyond your return date
  • Visas where required
  • Green cards or other immigration documents, as applicable
  • Authorization documentation when traveling with minors

Names on reservations must match your passport exactly.

REAL ID

Since May 2025, U.S. travelers need a REAL ID-compliant license or other accepted ID, such as a passport, for domestic flights and certain federal facilities.

Travel Visas

Many voyages visit several countries, each with its own entry rules, and some expeditions begin in Argentina or Chile. U.S. citizens visiting Brazil’s side of Iguazu Falls need a Brazilian visa. Verify requirements through CIBTvisas, and I’ll confirm exactly what your itinerary needs.

ETIAS (Europe)

Europe’s new travel authorization for U.S. visitors is not yet in effect, and no launch date has been announced. I’ll let you know if it applies to your trip.

UK ETA

An Electronic Travel Authorisation is required for entry to the United Kingdom.

EU Entry/Exit System

Europe’s border system now registers non-EU visitors with fingerprints and a photo, so allow a little extra time at passport control on your first entry.

Travel Advisories & Health Guidance

I strongly recommend reviewing travel advisories and health guidance before your trip so you’re fully prepared.

The Guide

On the Water

A few things that are helpful to know before you sail.

Flexibility on the Water

Good to Know on the Water

Whether you’re at sea or on expedition, nature occasionally has its own plans. Seabourn handles these moments smoothly, and a little flexibility goes a long way.

Weather & Ice

On expeditions, landings, Zodiac outings, and kayaking depend on weather, ice, and permissions, and the Expedition Team adapts each day.

Antarctica by Season

Early season (late October to early December) brings more snow and ice, midseason brings longer days, and late season (mid-February to March) is peak time for humpback whales.

Travel Subject to Change

All travel is subject to schedule adjustments, itinerary changes, weather disruptions, and operational delays.

Your Travel Documents

Your boarding documents arrive before departure. I’ll let you know as soon as they’re ready.

Guided Path Travel compass emblem

The sea sets the pace. All you have to do is enjoy the view.

Your Next Step

Let’s plan your journey.

Whether you already have a destination in mind or are just beginning to dream, I’d love to help you find the Seabourn voyage that fits you best. I’ll compare itineraries and suites, apply every savings offer you qualify for, and take care of the details from your first question to your welcome home.
